I was thirsty
Did you know that many people in the world simply have no water?
Lack of water, or being forced to drink unhealthy water, will kill around 2,300 people today and every day. Giving people clean water allows them to flourish. Crops grow. Communities thrive. Families bathe. Children who would otherwise spend all day finding water get an education.
In Matthew 25, Jesus challenged the people to serve. They asked, “Lord, when did we fail to help You when You were hungry or thirsty?” Jesus indicated that if anyone is thirsty and we don’t step in to help, we’ve done the same to Him.
Clean drinking water and better sanitation practices mean the difference between life and death.
