ADRA is dedicated to finding solutions that will set those we help in Asia on the path to a brighter future.
With your help, we are bringing health, hope, and a brighter future to people throughout Asia.
After 20 years of war and famine, the people of Cambodia are in desperate need of hope and healing. ADRA is there, helping communities rebuild through ADRA Cambodia’s “Child-Friendly Villages.” With our help, the people in these communities learn organic farming, establish literacy training for women, and build wells and latrines for clean water and sanitation and lives are changed.
“Before ADRA started working here, our village was dirty. Trash was everywhere, and people chose wherever they were to be their bathrooms. Our children were always sick; in fact, everyone was sick. We did not have money for food or medicines. Now everything is good here. And I believe that our children are smarter because now they enjoy good health and are well taken care of. We are so grateful for ADRA.”

Across Asia, ADRA’s programs provide shelter for families who need it most. In rural China, where winters are extremely cold and coal costs up to 38 percent of a family’s yearly income, ADRA is building straw-bale houses to keep winter at bay.
These straw-bale houses are economical, energy-efficient, and naturally earthquake resistant perfect for rural China. With your help, ADRA has built more than 600 straw-bale houses and three schools, and trained more than 450 construction workers, owner-builders, designers, and supervisors.
ADRA is committed to providing communities with the tools to be self-sufficient and healthy.
Again and again, you’ve seen that when a disaster strikes, ADRA is usually already present working in the country - and we stay beyond the initial trauma. Our work helps to sustain and improve the lives of millions.
After the tsunami of December 26, 2004, a group of survivors in Thailand came together to rebuild their livelihoods. ADRA helped these survivors learn to sew the beautiful batik cloth they produced into products to sell. Now, with our support, the group is hosting batik workshops in hotels throughout Bangkok, allowing guests to learn about the art and generate interest in purchasing the group’s products.
Simply put, we do what is necessary to restore the daily lives of individuals and their communities.
With your continued support, ADRA can help bring peace, hope and comfort to people across Asia.
Every day, Asians are affected by hunger, disease, homelessness, ignorance, and destruction. Help ADRA bring God’s love to children, women, and men throughout Asia who are struggling to survive.
