The Power of Wind
ADRA is harnessing the power of the wind to change lives in Somaliland by installing the first wind powered water pump in Gebiley. Demonstrating the effectiveness of wind energy, water is now available for domestic use, livestock and agricultural production.

"If I Just Had a Vegetable Garden...My Children Could Have Lived."
I delivered all my children alone at home without any medication or help, Yi says. Two of my children died; one was just eight months old. She had a bad fever and there was no way I could get her to a clinic because she was too weak for the three-day walk. I think she caught a disease from drinking the dirty well water.

U.S. Ambassador Visits Food Security Project in Nicaragua
The United States ambassador to Nicaragua, Paul Trivelli, recently honored ADRA with a visit to its Development Activity Program (DAP), a multi-year food security project that since 2002 has changed the lives of more than 75,000 individuals in some of Nicaragua's most impoverished regions. During his visit, Ambassador Trivelli officially opened the first annual Tomato Fair, held April 30 in the town of Totogalpa.
