Christian Giving to Those Cast Out and Forgotten

What are the responsibilities tied to Christian giving? Is Christian giving something that is only done because it makes us "feel good," or is it something done out of obedience to the Lord, or is it something that is done out of compassion for those hurting? There is no doubt that Christians around the world give because of all of these reasons, and many more.

God has charged Christians with the responsibility of taking care of one another. Christian giving is the charge to give in order to meet a neighbor's needs, a brother's needs. Our responsibility as believers is to take care of the poor. We are to lend, without expecting anything in return. True Christian giving is to give with compassion for those who do not have anything. It is to give out of our abundance, and out of our own sacrifice. Respect for all human life is the charge from the Lord. God created all of them, they all have a soul, and a destiny.

There are people suffering around the world. These people have little, and many times, nothing. They cannot comprehend what it would feel like to go to bed with a full stomach because they are always hungry. There is no greater reward than to bless someone else's life by our acts of Christian giving. Every ADRA program that people like you give to makes a difference in the lives of the poor and cast out children and adults around the world. ADRA is involved in programs directly helping impoverished people in some of the most barren countries in the world. What makes ADRA unique is that they go into a region and stay. The support provided by your Christian giving helps ADRA establish long-term programs that help people learn ways to grow food, get clean water, learn to read and write, and so much more.

Help ADRA today by discovering more about the programs around the world where the lives of the people are being changed through Christian giving from partners like you.
